Boots (Drugstore) Haul inc natural collection lipsticks.

Hi girls, well like most of you I had some No7 vouchers to use, so decided to head to my local boots ( which isnt the best as its tiny) and have a browse.
I didnt really see much that I thought I really wanted, but heres what I got.

I used one of my vouchers on these face wipes, the RRP is £7.00 but of course i got them for only £2.00. I havent tried these before, but i think they will be great as they are 4 in 1.

L-R - Apple Blossom, Cranberry, Pink Malllow
Next I browsed the many lipsticks from many brands, but thought i would try something new, ive had nautral collection nail polishes before but never anything else from the brand.
Apple Blossom is a gorgeous pink based nude colour, the camera isnt picked up the pink as much as it looks in real life.
Cranberry is a bright pink going on to red colour, and really suits my skin tone.
Pink Mallow is my favourite it is a cute baby pink colour, i know i have lots of pink lipsticks, but this is a different shade from all of them, and again its more pink in real life.
Id reccomend checking out some other swatches that really show the colours! Oh and these are all from the moister shine line, and are £1.99 each bargain!

Maybelline Pro forever strong polish-  £4.09
Confusingly i cant find a colour name or number on this, but it is a beautiful nude/pink colour, i have never had a maybelline polish before so im looking forward to using this, it may be my next NOTD.
It says it lasts up to 7 days, so we will see how that goes.

Rimmel Exaggerate Metallic waterproof Eye Definer in Perfect Plum - £3.99
I thought this colour was really pretty and the pencil has a handy smudger at the end! Its really creamy and seems to have staying power as i cant rub the swatch off! I think this will look really pretty smudged on my lower lashline teamed with say satin taupe eyeshadow from MAC.

And lastly i needed a new cleanser/toner so thought id give this one a try. Its the Simple - kind to skin pore minimising toning cleanser, it smells really fresh and has vitamin goodness for clean healthy skin.
This was priced at £4.07 and the large packet of cotton pads, £1.69 !

Quick,Easy and Wearable EOTD...

Hi girls well i was doing my makeup today to go shopping and decided i would take some pictures of the finished product.
I didnt want anything too over the top so here is what i wore..

  • First i used a tiny bit of primer potion, then painterely paint pot as a base.
  • Urban Decay Smog eyeshadow all of the lid and blended it out using a MAC 224.
  • Then applied the smallest amount Darkhorse eyeshadow from the naked palette into the crease for some definition using the same brush, then blended together using the Bobbi Brown eye blender brush.
  • I also smudged some of the smog shadow under my lower lash line using a MAC 219 pencil brush.
  • Then applied some black liner and mascara and there we have it!
This doesnt take long at all and is nothing fancy, but i wear this look alot, and I love it :)

My Britney Spears perfume collection.

Hi girls, now I LOVE Britney , so when her first perfume came out it is an understatment to say i was excited! Since then she has had numerous fragrances probably 2 a year being released.
I usually pick them up without even smelling them, which just shows how popular celebrity perfumes are!
Here is my collection..

Clockwise starting at the left -
Believe
Curious in control
Curious
Radiance
midnight fantasy
and in the middle Fantasy.

I think my favourite is definately Radiance followed by Believe!

How many Britney pefumes to do you have?

This polish was from the Dame Edna collection so is unfortunately unavailable now.
It is a beautiful lilac -purple shimmer with blue undertones as you can see more in the second picture.
This was 2 coats not quite opaque but not far off, the consistency is nice and just glided on the nail and dried quickly.

A Stila steal - stila palette

Stila is a brand I am not very aware of.. I dont own many stila products and it has not a brand i would rush to buy something from over other brands such as MAC and Benefit.
I was in my local Costco a few weeks ago and saw this palette , i instantly got excited as they dont often have makeup palettes as such in Costco and it was only £14.00.

Of course i bought it and this is what it looks like...

It is pretty large and consists of 30 eyeshadows ranging in colour, 15 lip colours, a highlight and contour colour, 3 blushes,  a few brushes and a eyeliner and lipliner.
Now i think i will only use the eyeshadows out of this palette as im not keen on the little brushes you get aswell as the blush colours.

The eyeshadow colours are really nice and also really pigmented here is a random colour swatch..

The shadows are really soft - not chalky at all, and blend very easily.
I have never seen this palette anywhere else before, so id head to Costco and see if its still available.
Overall a good buy i think, what do you guys think?

My Everyday Makeup Products!

Thought id do a post on the makeup that I use every single day, whether they are essentials or just products I love the most!
(sorry for the rubbish quality)

I cant do my makeup without any of these products. There are a few things missed out that i dont see as "essentials" such as Benefit's high beam, and lipliner ect, and of course i dont wear the same blush or lipstick/gloss everyday as i like to switch it out, so there are a few choices.

Face

MAC Studio fix fluid foundation in NW25 - this was my first foundation i ever used years ago and i always go back to it. Its the perfect colour for me and i find it blends so easily.

MAC 187 brush - I use this brush to apply my foundation, its blends it all evenly and is so soft, the 190 is also a favourite but i tend to use this more.

MAC select moisture cover concealer in NW25 - This is the perfect under eye concealer for me, its nice and creamy and not too heavy but still conceals everything. I just blend this out with my fingers.

MAC msf natural in medium plus and MAC pressed blot powder - This both have the same purpose for me and that is to touch up my makeup through out the day. If i want a little more coverage i will use the msf as it has a little colour to it, but if i just want to blot shine i will use the blotting powder, both of these are great products and i would definately say these are a must!

ELF complexion brush - I apply my powders using this brush, it was so cheap but i think for just applying a powder all over your face you dont need the most expensive brush.

Cheeks (top 4 at the moment)

NYX mosiac blush in plummy - this has been in my favourites before, cheap and the nicest plum colour mixed together.

MAC blush in vintage grape - another favourite, ive been using this the most at the  moment as it is my most recent purchase at a cco store.

MAC blush in peachykeen - love this in the summer, a gorgeous peachy/coral colour with gold shimmer.

MAC msf blush in gentle - I love this blush as it is SO pink, its very shimmery so i like to layer it over the NYX mosiac blush as an added highlight.

Benefit's Hoola bronzer - I'd say one of the most popular bronzers, speaks for itself lol.

MAC 168 angled brush - I use this for my blush as  it is the perfect size for your cheek bones and its angled for an easier application.

MAC 129 small powder/contour brush - They say this is also an blush brush but i find it better for contouring with my bronzer as it is quiet dense and the perfect size.

Eyes

MAC palette or UD naked palette - I switch between these daily as all my fave eyeshadow colours i could possibly choose are in these!

UD primer potion - the best eyeshadow primer i have tried, leaves your eyeshadow on all day and no creases or fading.

MAC painterley paint pot - i also use this to prime my eyes or a base colour before i apply bronzey/brown shadows.

Random Maybelline shadow in chocolate spice- I use this to fill in my brows as its the perfect colour!

Revlon Grow lucious mascara - This is a current favourite, it works great! the brush is HUGE and makes my lashes very long and volumised, and very black.

Maybelline liquid liner - ive used this for years as i fine it easier as your average liner as it is in pen form. It is really black and stays on all day.

MAC smoulder eyeliner and Stud eyebrow pencil - Again i have used these both for years and have never bothered finding an alternative for them, the eyeliner stays in place all day and the eyebrow pencil matches the shadow i use to fill in my brows and gives a natural look.

MAC 224 blending brush - this is the best blending brush ever! its sooo good for softening crease colours and blending them out.

NYX B30 brush - Just a tiny tiny eyeshadow brush that i use to fill my brows in.

Lips

MAC creme de nude lipstick - Im sure you have all seen this before the perfect nude colour, i wear this most days in work as it is a nice neutral colour! it is a cremesheen finish so is very moisterising.

MAC Viva glam gaga - my favourite lipstick along with snob, the perfect pink! flatter every look, i LOVE it,

Benefit's life on the A list gloss - I got this as part of the her name is glowla set, its a nice subtle peach gloss, and smells of watermelons! its not sticky at all and suprisingly lasts a fair amount of time.

5 product reviews!

Hey girls! I thought I'd do 5 product reviews of my some of my most used products at the moment! I don't think I've done a review as such yet so here it goes!...

First up is..

The new Batiste nude dry shampoo! This is slightly different from the others as it is not a spray, it has a handy nozzle applicator which makes it easier to use on the roots and means you waste less unlike the sprays. It is more talc based and no fragrance at all, I think I much prefer this to the others. You can buy these at Boots being the only place I have seen these yet and are priced around £2.50!

Good things moisturiser
This previewed in my new product post a few months ago and I love it! It's the only moisturiser I use now and it smells sooo nice! The range is available exclusively to Boots and is a full skincare range, they do not test on animals and use only organic based ingrediants. This completely works for my skin is a great base for my makeup instead of using a primer. This is priced at £7.99 and I am in love with the packaging :)

This is a product I have never used before or anything like it! It is nail polish remover in a jar, it has a remover soaked sponge inside and you just put your finger in and simply twist! It is a really quick way of getting your polish off and is acetone free! You can get these in superdrug or boots and is under £2!

Mac blush in vintage grape.
Firstly this is was limited edition, but can still be purchased in cco's. This is my go to blush at the moment, I love the way the colour blends into a dark purple and when swirled together look a gorgeous pink on the cheeks. The packaging is more similar to the beauty powders as there us more product. I purchased this for around £12 I think.

Lastly..

China glaze polish in sugar plums.
This is from the 2010 holiday collection and u got it from my local Sally beauty supplier for £2! It is a beautiful deep red colour with red an silver sparkles in it, it has lasted me 4 days so far using with Barry m 3 in 1 topcoat and isn't chipping yet, oh and it only needs 2 thin coats!

Foxy locks extensions review!

Hey girls well we all want that long, thick volumised hair don't we?! I've got quite thin middle length hair and have always always wanted long thick hair.
I had extensions for when I used to have red hair but I never bothered with them unless I was going to a big party or something , anyway since my hair is now dark brown I thought I'd go searching again.

Foxy locks extensions is owned by Imogen who has a channel on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/user/Foxylocksextensions ( that's how I first come across her) she seems really sweet an genuine, and will help you match a colour if you send her a picture via twitter, so I took the gamble and bought my extensions online in the colour #2 darkest brown, This is my hair before..

It finishes just at the bottom of the photo, it is thin that I have ruined it quite alot due to excessive backcombing! Now this is my hair!

I love them!! (sorry rubbish photos) They are so thick and soft and amazing quality, this was taken about 10 mins after I got them in the post haha I was that excited, I need to get them cut a few inches so that that they don't look too fake as these are 20 inches.

I really recommend these from Imogen and they have a great colour range and really affordable! I shall update with a new pic when I have curled them! Xo

Carvela shoes sale haul!

Hey girls, this past Tuesday I hit Liverpool town with my mum to go sale shopping. Usually I am the worst Sale shopper ever as the sight of jumbled up clothes and everything on the floor really puts me off a I lose patience before I can even get started! We went into Kurt Geiger to have a browse and I came out with the best 2 buys ever!

I looove these shoes! They were originally £130 reduced to £49 how amazing is that! They are a gorgeous purple suede chunky wedge shoe which make them really comfortable and easy to walk in! I'm definitely pairing these with a maxi dress when I go to Florida. Next....

These were originally £140 reduced to £29.. Yes 29 pounds I couldn't believe it either! I didn't even contemplate in choosing between the two as they were both so cheap I thought hey why not and got them both. These are again a purple wedge, they have gold and silver metal ball type detail with a wooden heel, these are again really comfortable!

If you can get to your nearest Kurt Geiger before the sale ends I wouldn't pass on it hey had a great range of shoes in the sale as well as boots and they were reduced by at LEAST 50%!!
